John Crouse is a self taught artist, born and raised in a small town called Little York in Hunterdon county New Jersey. Growing up he spent most of his time at his Grandfather's farm,working, and playing and taking in all that farm life has to offer, never realizing that some day these experiences would play a huge role in how he would utilize his artistic ability.
Farm animals, wildlife, old machinery, tools and countless other objects would become the perfect subjects for paintings that tell the story of farm life. Landscapes filled with old tractors, roosters, wild flowers and rolling hills are all created from the imagination that is fueled by memories and observations.
Almost anything that can be found on a small farm can also be seen in his art.

" I have painted over 450 originals so far, and continue to create new works that represent the themes and subjects that have inspired me all my life. Recently I have been concentrating on very large pieces. Landscapes and farmscapes, some in series.
